Design & Architetecture
Installations are different from conventional fine art prints. They are designed and made specifically with the support of an architect studio.
The pictures are illuminated from behind with a special "light box" designed and integrated in the destination space.
The value added is that its introduction in the living environment is evaluated from an architectural point of view, through a feasibility study with different hypotheses for an optimal solution.
Size & format
Backlit images can be made of any size. The only limit is the maximum extension of the glass (3,00 m max).
A sequence of more pieces - typically 3 verticals - allows to cover large spaces with a panoramic format for a spectacular cinematic effect.
The "triptych" reflects also how the pictures have been originally captured on the digital view camera and sliding back (3 frames).
Materials &
Mounting
The back-lit image is printed on a transparent foil and sandwiched between 2 glass plates for thermal stability and durability. The inner glass has an opaline layer to diffuse light evenly.
The glass in mounted on top of a light-box, which is made of a wood/metal and filled with lights (LEDs or neon tubes).
The light-box is not pre-built, but it’s assembled on place.
